We just found out we're having a baby girl and I am absolutely giddy with excitement. I mean, ridiculously giddy. I mean, so giddy that right after the ultrasound I went out and bought two newborn outfits that had flowers, ruffles, and the color pink. (Trying not to rub this in too much for Amie, who confesses she wanted a baby a girl.) I'm not even a very girly-girl (I collected Star Trek trading cards as a child), but the idea of unleashing the bits of femininity I DO possess on my baby girl's bedroom has me thrilled.
I'm not going to lie to you, even before I knew I was having a girl, I was pinning ideas for my dream girl nursery. (Are you following me on Pinterest? You should! And let me follow you back! See our Pinterest button on the side bar.) Here's what's inspiring me:

Larkspur collection of fabrics from Alexander Henry.
Handmade bird mobile with sewing patterns from Spool.

Bird houses on a tree decal with fabric leaves. Sadly, no longer available from Pottery Barn.
Purple finches on wooden panels by artist Jill Bliss.

Bird cage chandelier from Graham and Green.
Three-tiered ruffled crib skirt from Burbs n' Giggles.
